Hi, I’m Laura. I am the creator behind Love Chef Laura. I’m a Michigander and I have been cooking and baking since I could hold a whisk! After high school, I decided to expand my cooking knowledge and attended Great Lakes Culinary Institute. In 2009, I graduated with my culinary degree and continued to work in kitchens throughout northern Michigan. Fast forward to today, I no longer work in the food industry but enjoy my time at home with my husband and two children.
Why Love Chef Laura?
I started Love Chef Laura so I could share wholesome and healthy recipes. I have three autoimmune diseases and although I don’t consider myself completely healed, I have found great relief from symptoms by changing my diet. You can click here to read my full journey. My goal with Love Chef Laura is to encourage a lifestyle of eating that involves real food regardless if you have an autoimmune disease or not. I am learning while I may not have total control of how I feel every day, I do have control of what I put in my body and how I nourish it. I have found adapting a gluten-free, dairy-free and grain-free diet has positively impacted my healing journey the most. I am constantly grateful for my cooking skills and how my early passion for food has led me to where I am today.
