This 5 Ingredient Dairy-free Ranch Dressing is so easy to make and tastes better than the ranch you buy at the store. Another great perk of making your own ranch is that there are no preservatives and chemicals, only real whole food ingredients.
This 5 Ingredient Dairy-free Ranch Dressing is a stable in our house. This recipe is mayonnaise based and is then mixed with dried herbs and spices. We use it as a dip for our baked fries or veggie sticks, or add to a salad. My favorite way to use this ranch is to put it on top of some green vegetables and disguise them so my daughter will actually eat them. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does!
A couple notes about dairy-free ranch dressing:
Let's talk about dill:
Although this recipe is great with dried dill, I highly recommend fresh dill if possible. Fresh herbs provide so much flavor and are superior to dried in my opinion.
Let's talk about mayo:
I suggest using my easy 4-Ingredient Mayonnaise recipe as the base for this dairy-free ranch. If you do not have time to make your own mayonnaise, I recommend buying a paleo version that contains avocado oil. My favorite paleo mayonnaise is from Primal Kitchens. Most mayonnaise in the grocery store contains highly processed oils such as soy, canola, sunflower or safflower. These are high inflammatory oils. Always read the product label and chose healthier oils such as olive or avocado.
If you are vegan, use a vegan complaint mayo. My homemade mayonnaise recipe contains eggs therefore it is not vegan. Changing up the mayo so it fits your needs will not compromise flavor.
