Five homemade naturally flavored water recipes to keep you hydrated all summer long! Fruit Infused Water is a fun way to change up boring old water.
Drinking enough water has never been a problem for me. I have was always been a good water drinker. But sometimes I like to sip on something a little more exciting. I don't want a soda or to be drinking a sugary coffee drink. I prefer something fresh. That's why I love infused waters!
Besides tasting so good, infused waters are a fun way for kids to drink more water! My daughter saw me making these and was so intrigued with the strawberry-lime flavor. She drank almost half the pitcher! This recipe can easily be made using store bought plain sparkling water for a refreshing bubbly drink or can be made with water from the tap!

A couple notes about Fruit Infused Water:
The size of the pitcher doesn't matter too much:
The pitchers I used for this recipe ranged from 24-32 ounces. Even though I recommend a certain amount of fruit or herbs, you can honestly use less or more. The only time I've noticed the flavor is too overwhelming is when the grapefruit-lemon water sat overnight. It became very sour but I actually really liked it! But I can see someone thinking it's too strong of a flavor. If that's the case, just add some fresh water to your glass.
How long will the water last in the fridge?
The infused waters can last in the fridge for up to three days. As noted above, overtime the citrus will become stronger and more flavorful so add fresh water to adjust to your liking.
